We have shingles on one side of the family room




We have shingles on one side of the 2nd story. They have had to do most of it in the rain. I went out and asked him to come down when I started to lightning . He said Aw.. you have tall trees all around. I'll be fine





But no shingles on the rest. They have put metel slashing on the side, and plan to shingle (weather permitting)the front next.

Since there isn't anything going on on the house I thought I'd put up some pictures of Dad and I.










This was pre marriage.

What else can I do. Aaron's Uncle died, so nothing will be going on for a few days.

We do have about 1/3 of the family room roof ,covered with shingles. But I didn't think it was picture worthy.


Dan, When you guys come up this weekend Don't expect to much. Dang it!

So frustrating!

It looks like you boys in the family, aka, Dan, Russ and David , will no longer have to duck when you come onto the porch. I think Aaron said the clearance was 6'8". He made it tall enough for the gigantic people who will visit us. Aaron says he' s kinda short in comparison.

Look what we've got... A PORCH . Yah Hoo !

They are putting on the front porch today
Yah!! Sweeping the porch has been difficult. When It rains, Which it has done every day for a while. all the loose crap has been coming down onto the cement. Agrivating!! It is really hard to sweep wet cement. And NOW there is alot of it. Dad really enjoys the cement. He walks around it every day. I have washed all of the windows. Let me tell you , the windows on the east side of the house were scary.I pulled off the screens and there were spiderwebs everywhere.. It was really gross, but I did it. I desirve brownie points for that one.

They have The roof on now. This monsoun is really giving them trouble . They made it , but alot of thier work was in the rain.
















This is a pile of the old shingles that they took off of the back











The old shingles are off on the back part of the house, and they have it covered with roofing plastic. The attic is all open so it will have a chance to dry out from the rainfall in the kitchen and dining room
